Reclaim & Rebuild NFP promotes hope, opportunity, and community strength in Chicago.
Hello

OUR MISSION

Reclaiming Dignity. Restoring Opportunity. Rebuilding Live

Reclaim & Rebuild champions justice reform, rehabilitation, family reunification, and second chances through advocacy, education, and fair policies.

Our past does not define us. Our future does.

RECLAIM & REBUILD

OUR MISSION

Reclaiming Dignity. Restoring Opportunity. Rebuilding Lives.

Reclaim & Rebuild is a justice reform, reentry, and community empowerment initiative committed to removing unnecessary barriers that prevent individuals and families from rebuilding their lives after involvement with the criminal justice system.

Our mission is to advance fair and accountable policies, promote rehabilitation, strengthen family reunification, and expand access to housing, employment, education, legal resources, and meaningful second chances.

A central focus of our advocacy is reforming Illinois' Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registry system. We believe registration requirements should be fair, accurately administered, and subject to meaningful review, with appropriate pathways to relief for eligible individuals who have completed their sentences and demonstrated rehabilitation.

Through community organizing, education, advocacy, strategic partnerships, and reentry support, we work to create pathways toward stability, independence, and lasting community reintegration.

We believe public safety, accountability, rehabilitation, and second chances can coexist.

Our past does not define us. Our future does.

OUR ADVOCACY

Justice Requires Accountability. Rehabilitation Deserves Recognition.

Reclaim & Rebuild advocates for policies and systems that recognize rehabilitation, protect individual rights, support families, and create meaningful opportunities for successful reintegration.

Our advocacy priorities include:

Registry Reform & Legislative Accountability

Advocating for comprehensive review and reform of Illinois' Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registration Act, including clear pathways for eligible individuals to petition for relief and safeguards against improper registration extensions and administrative errors.

Fairness & Due Process

Promoting transparent registration procedures, accurate records, meaningful review opportunities, and accountability when administrative failures negatively affect individuals and their families.

Reentry & Second Chances

Supporting access to employment, stable housing, education, mentorship, workforce development, and resources that help justice-impacted individuals successfully rebuild their lives.

Family Reunification & Community Restoration

Addressing the long-term impact of criminal justice barriers on spouses, children, parents, and communities while supporting healthy family connections and stability.

Community Education & Civic Engagement

Helping individuals understand public policy, legislative processes, their rights, and the importance of participating in advocacy that affects their communities.

Our position is clear: Accountability should not eliminate the possibility of rehabilitation, fairness, and a meaningful future.
